Sophia was Christened on Sunday September 28, 2008 at 3:00 PM. There were 5 babies and one small child (about 4 years old) being baptised in the same ceremony. Most of our immediate families were in attendance. This sacramental day was beautiful and inspiring.
Blair's parents, Mary Jane and Marty, flew in from Arizona - as well as - Debi and Bob, Blair's sister and brother-in-law, are the God parents and flew in from Arizona to participate. Blair and Debi's God Parents were in attendance as well, Richard and Linda, who came in from Pennsylvania.

Blair's Uncle, Oswaldo, came in from Pennsylvania for the event as well. In addition, Mark and Christina and their son Landon were in from Pennsylvania too. Landon is Kate and Blair's Godson.

Kate's parents, Russell and Shirley came in from Pennsylvania, as well as Kate's sister Theresa and her four children, Matthew, Loren (Kate and Blair's Goddaughter), Benjamin and Sarah.
Kate and Blair's close friends, Kim and Lee and their grandson Caleb attended as well.
The day was beautiful and the Priest was wonderful. He took extra time with each family, as much as was requested, for photos and special blessings. He blessed Sophia's bible and rosary and stood for many pictures with us. He also used a silver plated shell, from the God parents, to baptise Sophia.
Everyone gathered at our home prior to the service and afterwards to enjoy each others fellowship and to share in the meals. Family gatherings in our family are few and far between due to the locations we all live, so it is a true blessing when we can all get together and break bread.

This was a truly blessed day -- our combined families celebrated Sophia's baptism and she was a perfect angel. Bob and I are so honored to be her Godparents and we will bring our A-Game! Blair and Kate are wonderful parents and we all appreciate them sharing her with us. Blessings abound for all of us and we hope for all who read this. XXOO Zia and Zio (that's Aunt and Uncle for your "Amerigans") :)
